Cruising on the Goodship
This week we’re spotlighting a cannabis infused dark chocolate and coffee bar from our friends at The Goodship Company. Edibles from the Goodship have always given us a consistent high along with fantastic flavors, so we were excited to get our hands on another chocolate bar.
The First Look
When you take the bar out of it’s package, it looks and smells like a normal chocolate bar. It doesn’t sound that impressive, but many edibles smell like weed with a little chocolate. Each bar has 10mg of THC, which is fairly standard for single serving edibles. The packaging also lets us know that it’s made with Sightglass Coffee, which is helpful info if you’re a discerning coffee lover. The bar is able to be broken in two for sharing or splitting up your dose, but we opted for the whole serving for our tasting.
How it felt
Right when we took the first bite, we discovered that you could barely taste that skunky bud flavor that accompanies most edibles. The weed we could taste seemed to blend well with the coffee and chocolate. It was easily one of the best tasting edibles we ever enjoyed. Like most edibles, after about an hour the high began to really set in. However, the high we got from these chocolates wasn’t like your typical edible high. It was less intense, much closer to the buzz you’d get from smoking than from eating a pot brownie. It was a relaxed, mellow high that stayed consistent fort several hours. Since the high is much more tame than other edibles, these Goodship Chocolates would be the perfect edible to give to a newbie. The ability to split it into 2 5mg THC chocolate makes it even more appealing for people new to the cannabis scene. If you’re looking for an edible, but don’t want the intensity that comes with it, these are the perfect chocolates for you!
