This week we’re spotlighting Friesland, an Indica from Suspended Brands. Suspended is a local producer/processor known for their consistent quality as well as their wide variety of flower and extracts, so we were excited to see what they had in store for us!
The First Look
The first thing we noticed about Friesland is how visually appealing it is. The buds are a deep muted green, peppered with bright orange hairs. They were frosted with visible trichome crystals, which we love to see in our weed. Though the buds were small, they were very densely packed and only a little sticky. It’s a sweet smelling strain, almost like candy with a skunky tang.
How It Smokes
We expected it to taste a little like it smelled, but were surprised when the smoke had more woody and peppery notes. Once we smoked it a heavy, stoney high set in quickly and got stronger as time went on. While we found that the high made it pretty easy to get distracted, it wasn’t mind numbing. We weren’t out of commission, but it definitely wouldn’t be the bud we would take hiking. We didn’t notice many munchies cravings, which is perfect for a nighttime bud. If you’re looking for bud to help you unwind at the end of the day, or want to re-watch one of your favorite movies, Friesland is exactly what you’re looking for.
