This week we’re spotlighting a delicious and uplifting strain that’s relatively new to the cannabis scene, Chemmy Jones from our friends at Rapa Nui! Chemmy Jones is the result of crossing two very popular strains, Chemdawg and Casey Jones. We love both those strains, so we were excited to try out their offspring!
First Look
Right when we unscrewed the lid on our bottle, we noticed how gorgeous this bud is. With its loosely packed nugs and light frosting of crystals, the buds of this Sativa dominant Hybrid looks like skunky little Christmas trees. Though it felt like a shame to grind up those pretty little buds, the high they produced made it more than worth it.
How it Smokes
Whether you’re smoking out of a joint, pipe, or bong (the ways we sampled it) Chemmy Jones is very smooth. Though it smells sweet and earthy, the diesel flavor has the largest presence when smoked. The THC percentage places Chemmy Jones right in the middle when it comes to potency; not overwhelmingly strong, but not so mild that it dips into dad weed territory. After smoking a bowl, we loved how the balanced high gave us energy and a nice happy buzz. It was perfect for smoking out in nature or before getting out and enjoying the sun; any activity where you want to be energetic and functional, but still have a little bit of a buzz.
